How it All Began
In 2020, Nermin Hasic came across a newsletter that published instructions for braille drawings, but in English braille. The association “einfach machbar e. V.”, of which Nermin is a member, wanted to make these instructions available in German-speaking countries as well.
Blind Children Paint Pictures
This led to a project sponsored by Aktion Mensch: “Blind children paint pictures – painting by letters”. In addition to the instructions, which were translated into German, many new braille drawings were created especially for the project. You can access the association's project page via the following link:

However, the project only ran for one year. After that, the idea arose to continue it. In 2022, the website brailleart.org was created. Our own braille drawings (and those of our friends) are published here. And new images are added all the time. Since 2024, the braille drawings have also been published in the compilation “Brailleart – Instructions for braille drawings.” And since 2025, we have also been developing braille games, starting with the word search game braille jumble.
Many thanks to the association einfach machbar e. V. for initiating all this! All braille drawings from 2021 that were also published on Brailleart were created as part of the association's project.
